Calling All Santas!
If the Spirit of the Holiday Season moves you, you're invited to "deck the course" in your finest red, black & white attire, Santa gear (pants, jacket, hat and beard ) to be the fat man himself or the Mrs. (dress, wig and hat). Santa and Mrs. Claus costumed athletes will get to lead the charge at the starting line of the 8K Run, plus there will be a costume contest following the race with awards going to the three adults (15 years & older). Plus the fastest Santas (male & female overall in complete Santa or Mrs. Claus attire) will receive special recognition, with awards provided by Fleet Feet Sports and Saucony.
Come December 13th, Rudolph will be back in town to kick off the holiday season and help brighten the lives of some very special Chicagoland youngsters. Rudolph and friends are currently vacationing in St. Croix, but they'll be back to work soon. We're taking advantage of their time off in planning our event. In the mean time, registration is open so you can register today!
Baby It's Cold Outside!!!
Winter here in Chicago is in full force, so please be sure to prepare appropriately for race day. The temperatures for this Sunday are forecasted to be in the mid 30's, with a slight chance of snow. Don't forget your hat and gloves! Most importantly, be aware race morning. Weather conditions are subject to change, which could impact our course. Please be sure to be cautious while running for icy patches and pay close attention to signage and P.A. announcements prior to the start. When in doubt, don't hesitate to ask a member of CAPRI Events' staff. We are here to help you enjoy a safe holiday run!
